Chromite Projects
IMRG has entered into a strategic agreement to assume control of a disused chromite concentrate plant located in Zamboanga Province. This agreement, based on a royalty arrangement, provides IMRG with not only the plant but also all associated infrastructure, offering a solid foundation for rapid project development. Additionally, there is a substantial stockpile of 100,000 tonnes of chromite ore on-site, ready for processing and export.
The project comes fully permitted and approved, allowing for a seamless transition into operational status. IMRG’s approach focuses on revitalizing the plant to optimize production capacity and capitalize on the available stockpile. With the accompanying infrastructure in place, including transportation and storage facilities, the project is primed for efficient output and long-term sustainability.
IMRG also has the option to expand the operation by securing additional chromite resources in the region, leveraging its existing partnerships and government relationships. This project aligns with IMRG’s broader strategy to strengthen its foothold in the mineral resource sector, particularly in high-demand commodities like chromite, which is essential for the production of stainless steel and other alloys.
With the groundwork already laid and all relevant permits in hand, IMRG is positioned to bring the chromite plant back into full-scale production, creating local employment opportunities and contributing to the economic development of Zamboanga Province. This project stands as a testament to IMRG’s ability to identify and revitalize underutilized resources, turning them into valuable operational assets.
