Iron Ore Projects
The Philippines mining sector is experiencing a resurgence following the Lopez Mining shutdown in 2016. This recovery has opened up significant opportunities for international players, including access to a vast number of unutilized mineral stockpiles throughout the country.
Stockpiles
IMRG has identified and secured agreements with the owners and permit holders of several export-ready iron ore stockpiles. These stockpiles, totaling 2.5 million metric tonnes of 64% Fe, are available for immediate export.
Mining Projects
Beyond stockpiles, there are numerous approved mine sites in the Philippines that have been inactive due to issues such as lack of funding or permit suspensions. IMRG has successfully identified and secured rights to two such projects, and we are in the process of finalizing a third.
Project 1 – Vitali
This project is ready for operation, with resources including iron ore, copper, and basalt. The MPSA (Mineral Production Sharing Agreement) is current for 25 years, and a small stockpile of 30,000 metric tonnes is available for immediate export.
Project 2 – DMC (Dabawenyo)
IMRG has secured an agreement in principle for the mining rights to be assigned to IMRG for this project, enabling future development.
Project 3 – Sierra Madre
IMRG is finalizing purchasing agreements with Sierra Madre Mining Company for the supply of 50,000 metric tonnes of iron ore with 62%+ Fe. This ongoing contract holds the potential for increased supply volumes in the future.
With these projects, IMRG is well-positioned to play a key role in the revitalisation of the Philippines’ mining sector.
